Uncle Joseph Visits!

Uncle Joseph is in town! YAY! What did Adalyn do when she first saw Uncle Joseph? Plopped her head down on his chest and gave him a big hug...Awwwww. Besides hugs and sloppy wet kisses, Adalyn's also following in Mommy's footsteps and harassing her uncle...muwahahahahaha! Let the torture begin!

"Don't move, or I'll use my pinky attack on you!"

Uh oh...Uncle Joseph surprise attacks Adalyn! Minus the surprise...

Adalyn and Uncle Joseph bond over some silly internet videos of cute fluffiness.

Baby Airlines...folding up the landing gear...ready for takeoff!

Adalyn is not only an adventure baby but an adventurous eater as well. New tastes, new smells, new textures...and new positions.

Daddy starts the baby out in a normal position, but things get silly pretty quickly.

"Don't mind me, nothing weird going on over here...no siree!"

Adalyn multitasks by combining artistic dance moves with eating.

If you put all of these pictures together in a flip book, you can see Adalyn's journey firsthand.

Adalyn is not ashamed of her apple addiction (or mommy's alliteration...haha).

So what happens when Adalyn tries a new, exotic food? Do we get the same silly antics we've all grown to love?

With our bellies full and round, we turn our attention to Adalyn's busy day. How does this adventurous soon-to-be-toddler fill out her day?

With her rippling baby flab, Adalyn pushes the door open just enough to fit her round, full belly through and escape.

Adalyn reaches out an eager, but gentle hand to "pet" the kitties. The kitties are not amused.

Since Adalyn is almost a toddler now, she must learn how to toddle around in style. Introducing...FOOTWEAR!

The infamous giraffe socks we got when she was first born. They now fit and are just as silly as I thought they'd be.

"How do you get these off? ENH!"

Adalyn wears shoes for the first time...and approves of them.

If your footwear is fashionable, then the rest of you has to follow.

Oh my goodness! We're ready for a hoedown!

Fashion baby gives out fashion kisses. MWA!

Adalyn's had her eye on the winking cupcake for awhile. Now if she could only get it into her mouth...

Still Tocktober! And now with yummy treats!

Bonus kitteh pics:

Peeper ups the cuteness factor. I totally want to bury my face in all that soft fur!

Ninja runs out of room for her head and squishes herself against the computer.

Ninja cuddles against Peeper...can't take the cuteness!!

Little Red Walking Hood

It's the Harvest Festival at the Botanical Gardens! We saw how apple cider was made from apples fresh from the Botanical Gardens orchards - and even got to taste some! Mmmmm....

But...what's this? Little Red Riding Hood? I thought she was on her way to Grandma's house! How'd she get here?

We're already excited, and we've just begun!

Adalyn is awed by all the greenery in the desert.

Adalyn reaches out a hand to pet the fuzzy plants.

Why do plants and fruit get to have all of the attention at a Harvest Festival? Adalyn is introduced to some farm animals, such as goats, cows, horses, sheep...and chickens.

Adalyn giggles as she pets a chicken.

Adalyn: SQUEAL! "Hahahaha", Chicken: "Sigh..."

Adalyn didn't get to sample any fresh apple cider or apple cider vinegar, but she is well versed in using her newly acquired teefers to enjoy a fresh apple.

Adalyn inspects the apple, looking for the best place to bite. CRUNCH!

OM NOM NOM NOM NOM! No this isn't weird at all...

Alas, Little Red Riding Hood was getting tired of being in her stroller, so Mommy, Daddy, and Adalyn take a break in the grass.

"YAY! Grass! Let's see, what can I put in my mouth?"

"Mmmm, here's a delicious, crunchy fall leaf!"

"Oh hai! What are you doing down there?"

Adalyn wears a turtle lip as she's in deep concentrayshe.

Will Adalyn cross the vast distance between her and Mommy?! OH NOES! The suspense!

Adalyn took her first steps when Nana and Grandpa came to visit over Labor Day weekend (all it took was dangling a Dorito in front of her like a carrot...silly girl). And ever since, she's been crossing tiny distances with tiny steps. Now behold as Little Red Riding Hood becomes Little Red WALKING Hood!

Looks like it's Tocktober!

One small step for baby, one giant leap for parentkind.

Mommy and Daddy play a game of "Hat the Baby." And yes, "hat" is now a verb.

Adalyn is sporting the new Fall fashions in hats.

After our fun time at the Harvest Festival, Mommy, Daddy, and Adalyn wind down at the Aquarium again.

Daddy and Adalyn look at the colorful fish darting in and out the rock.

Adalyn is mesmerized by all of the sea creatures...and so is Daddy.

Fall...the appropriate season it seems for a baby to learn how to walk. Thankfully, Adalyn is no stranger to falling.

And in case anyone missed the memo, it's Tocktober! What's Tocktober? Tocktober occurs in the month of October and celebrates the cuteness of tocks...whether from a cute baby, cute cat, cute dog, pretty much anything cute.

Adalyn constructs her fort, complete with Tocktober viewings.

One of the many side effects of Tocktober...see through diaper tocks.

Fall Preparations and Balloon Fiesta!

Yay! It's Mommy's favorite time of year! Fall...when the leaves start dropping and so do the baby teefers! There's so much to do...look at the leaves changing colors, celebrate the Balloon Fiesta, go to the Harvest Festival, dress up for Halloween, start planning our Thanksgiving meals (including figuring out who the turkey is going to be this year)...it's a lot to do. So Adalyn is in serious preparayshe mode as she gears up for the Fall activities.

The top teefers make their debut.

Chipmunk teeth...the complete set.

Adalyn and Daddy are excited about Fall activities, too!

"Only one kiss per customer, Daddy."

Contrary to popular belief, there are trees in Albuquerque...their leaves even change color in the fall! But the prettiest fall leaves are up in the mountains where the aspen live. So, Mommy and Daddy pack the baby for a teeny road trip.

"Ooooooh..."

"Aaaaaaaaah..."

We continue our Fall journey at the Balloon Fiesta for a Balloon Glow! What's a Balloon Glow? Well, at dusk, lots of hot air balloons inflate while tied to the ground and "glow" against the night sky.

"I'm so excited to see balloons! Yay!"

Adalyn's been ready to go for awhile. She's just waiting for her parents to catch up.

"Sigh...will I ever get to see the balloons?"

Oh no! Adalyn blinks and misses a balloon light up!

What a balloon glow might look like.

"Oooooh...Aaaaaah"

Adalyn keeps her energy up by eating and smashing grapes.

Intel Outside (haha, you know cuz Intel Inside? hello? is this thing on?)

During the Balloon Fiesta, Adalyn, Mommy, and Daddy look out the balcony in the morning to see lots and lots of balloons fill the sky.

The first few balloons float past...
