This is our first Father's Day together
We've never done this before
What do you do on Father's Day?
Let's try out a few things and more
Maybe we could read a book
About things near and far
Or learn a few silly songs
As you play your old guitar
Maybe we can look at ducks
While we eat on the lush, green grass
Or explore the depths of the sea
And look at fishes behind glass
Maybe we can play airplane
And I can soar over the cats
Or we could look in the mirror and laugh
As we try on glasses and hats
Whatever we do today for fun
I just wanted to say
You're the best Dad I could ever have
And Happy Father's Day!
Happy Father's Day to you, too, Dad! I can only imagine that Adalyn loves her dad as much as I love you!
Ever since Adalyn was a fresh-faced 6 month old, she's been pulling herself up on Mommy and using her as a jungle gym. But now that she's an experienced and grizzled 7 month old, Adalyn can now pull herself up in her crib!
Here's Adalyn playing around with the cat's feather toy. Unlike her physical abilities, not much has changed in the "acting like a cat" department.

Speaking of acting like a cat, under the much sought-after tutelage of the divine Peeper, Adalyn likes to look out on the balcony....for bugs, for amusement, who knows?

So, how did Adalyn, Mommy, and Daddy celebrate Father's Day? We went to the Aquarium and Botanical Gardens to see the flowers blooming, the butterflies fluttering by, and the greenery being really green. Oh, and apparently some ducks checked out all of the action as well.
