Fashion Show

Apparently Grandma Stanley couldn't resist the temptation to go all out shopping for a baby girl - considering she had two boys. You'll have to excuse her. :) Since she only fits in one or two outfits out of the avalanche of "fun" clothing we were blessed with, here's some of her in her first fashion show. Fun clothing includes a hat with a big flower, a Santa suit, giraffe socks with taffeta on top, etc. which I'm sure will make a debut on here someday when she's bigger. :) Oh, and there's a picture thrown in of Adalyn in her going out attire.

Halloween Shenanigans

Michael and I had one last hurrah before Trubs comes. The combined total of our costumes for Halloween was $12.00 - you don't want to spend too much money when you're not even sure if someone is going to let you wear it or not.

I went as a ginormous Jack-O-Lantern. Not too much execution required - just grab a lawn bag already decorated, insert pregnant lady, and we're good to go.

Yah, I have smirky lips where my belly button used to be! Speaking of smirk, Michael caught the kitties enjoying our new glider the other day. Apparently, even the glider has the kitten seal of approval.

8 Month Belly

My belly is huge. Actually, people tell me that I look tiny for how far along I am, but it feels huge to me. Since some people (ahem...Mom) wanted to see what this belly looks like, I've decided that some pictures are due.

Here's a side view with clothes. Not too bad, but I definitely look like Big McLargehuge. I wonder what it looks like underneath the clothes..

 

Yes, much less civilized. :) So you're probably all wondering what the belly button looks like - it's not pretty.

 

You see that? It's a beak. I have a belly button beak. I guess this is what 30 extra pounds of concentrated baby looks like. Okay, now for a normal picture:

Assembling Baby Gear

So it seems like Michael and I need to take a class on how to assemble baby gear/furniture. We consider ourselves intelligent people, but I swear, the instructions are written (and drawn) by people who've never seen the product they're trying to describe.

The Chicco pack and play instructions were actually really good - accept for the fact that we had 4 metal rods left over that were not mentioned anywhere in the instructions; I checked...at least three times. Thankfully, Michael and I were able to figure out where they went after several days.

We assembled the Chicco stroller, and had some fun with those instructions, even though they were written by the same company as the pack and play. The instructions were mostly pictures and required us to keep flipping the stroller upside down, then right side up, then upside down again...and of course several steps were missing. Thankfully, the stroller was mostly assembled, and the steps that were missing were decently obvious. Once everything was put together, we got to test out the stroller with a baby-sized analog:

As you can tell, Peeper looks thrilled to participate.
