The Elusive Teefers!

Shhh! We're in a remote location, where many babies roam wild and free. Normally, we would take you on a baby safari, but today, we're after something that's evaded us for two months now...baby teefers! There's been many sightings, but no one has been able to get any definitive proof that they exist. Well, today, folks, we're going to change all that.

We spotted a wild baby about 100 feet ahead of us, quietly munching on some lush grass. We covered ourselves in some mommy scent so that the baby would feel calm as we approached it. We have our cameras ready for that one perfect shot that will land us on the cover of National Geographic.

We slowly crawl our way closer to the baby...it looks like the baby is finally done eating and is rolling around looking so chubby...and so cute... We stop to compose ourselves before we are rendered helpless by the cute (as you all know, cute is one of the many defenses of a baby). Suddenly, the baby turns around, looks at us, and gives us a huge smile...ALAS, the teefers we have been waiting for!

TADA! Baby teefers. I call this the reverse chipmunk.

Must not give in to the cute...

Another teefers shot!

Uh oh...wait for it...maybe we'll get another shot...

Yay! A teefers trifecta!

You know what baby teefers mean, right? Baby teeferbrushes.

Adalyn only brushes the teefers that she wants to keep.

In their free time, babies like to explore new places and learn new cute tricks for paralyzing predators and prey...

Exploring the Cat Cave, full of wondrous items such as the Flying Squirrel and the mouse that had its tail horrifically chewed off.

Adalyn has learned how to clap her hands! If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands...<clap, clap>

We've got a future climber here. Adalyn loves to climb in and out of her swing and use it for everything it was NOT intended for.

When babies aren't delicately munching on grass, they forage for food and eat anything they get their little, chubby hands on...

Behold as the bowl of holding is smeared with yogurt RIGHT BEFORE YOUR VERY EYES!

"Bowl's been licked clean, Mom!" Ah yes, nothing like having your very own dishwasher...

Adalyn always ensures that her outfit not only matches the decor but the food (grapes) as well. This IS a high class place after all...

Attack of the CRAZY Pony!

ACT 5, SCENE 3: Somewhere in the New Mexico desert...

Our heroine has been trekking for miles battling cactus, beating back venomous snakes, and tackling roadrunners. All of a sudden our heroine stumbles across a pony, lying down in the sand, looking hurt. The heroine rushes over to help the pony get back on its feet.

"OH NO! I think this pony broke its leg! Someone call the doctor!"

The heroine renders first aid to the helpless pony.

The heroine puts pressure on one of the pony's legs to stop some bleeding. WILL THE PONY MAKE IT?!?!

"AND CUT! Good work, people! Let's get set up for the next scene..."

ACT 5, SCENE 4: Still somewhere in the New Mexico desert...it just doesn't end!

After receiving quality first-aid from our heroine, the pony gets up and checks out the use of its legs. Feeling much better, the pony decides to thank our heroine...

"...AND ACTION!"

What quality production doesn't produce a few outtakes? Adalyn and our crazy pony have some fun behind the scenes...

Director's Commentary: Adalyn has been laughing this hard for as long as she could laugh! She seems to take after her mom, her grandmother, and her great-grandmother...the laughing fit must have been passed down through the ages...

Now that the movie "Caballo Loco" has finished filming, Adalyn is able to enjoy the good life back at her estate. But the mamarazzi never take a vacation...

Adalyn gets dressed up for a night on the town!

Adalyn decides which book will tickle her literary fancy today.

Hipster Adalyn ironically puts a pacifier in her mouth to show off to all of her hipster friends.

Ninja and Peeper are safe (for now) from Babyzilla's attacks!

Goodbye Space Shuttle!

Adalyn's 9 month appointment stats: 28in and 19lbs! Someone's getting to be a big girl!

July 21, 2011: Atlantis comes home for the last time. These space shuttles inspired a whole generation of kids to become astronauts when they grew up...including Mommy. The space shuttles epitomized human greatness and achievement, where modern day Marco Polos could advance science and explore space...the new frontier (haha). Mommy will miss the space shuttle program and everything that it represented. Though Mommy may never be an astronaut, she sure came pretty close to living the dream...

Mommy looking like she's doing real work...on the flight deck...in Atlantis.

Sitting in the pilot's chair...in Atlantis...on the launch pad. Mommy probably left a butt print that'll never wash off!

Mommy very hard at work in Mission Control. See? There's official looking stuff around her and everything!

Well, if you can't become an astronaut, the next best thing is to order one off the internet. Let's see what it looks like out of the box...

Hmm, Mommy expected the astronaut to be a little bit bigger...

Mommy takes her new astronaut out for a test drive.

Uh oh...the new astronaut looks ready to start "exploring."

Our astronaut begins exploring this strange, new world...

The laws of gravity tenaciously hold onto our little astronaut.

Astronauts always take time out of their busy schedules to smile for the camera!

Ah! A whole new world to explore! This one even has fuzzy, four-legged aliens...

Adalyn practices repairing complicated space structures for her next venture into space.

Sometimes, even astronauts enjoy their time here on Earth. And what better way to spend that time than at the playground!

Adalyn's not quite sure yet what all this "swing" fuss is about.

Adalyn gets into the swing of things (haha)

Adalyn holds on as Mommy gives her a push. WHOOSH!

Daddy kisses Adalyn, and Adalyn kisses the ground, glad to be back on it.

Adalyn prepares for takeoff!

Adalyn imagines what being a pilot is like...

Every baby comes to a point in life when they say, "Look, ma! No hands!" And that point is finally here.

Adalyn has become quite the connoisseur of internet kitties. In fact, she became inspired one day when she saw a picture of a cat with all sorts of fun stuff on his head!

It's not quite outrageous enough to make the top five, but it'll do for starters.

Adalyn's excited to join the Hat Club for Kittehs.

Now that we've had some conventional and unconventional baby fun, let's see what Mommy and Daddy do for fun. Ugh, Adalyn has no chance. Mommy and Daddy are such huge nerds...

"Ok, Daddy, deal me in!" If you know what the game is, great, you're a huge nerd, too! If not, don't ask - it's better that way.

So what do babies do on their down time?

Daddy teaches Adalyn how to change the oil on her Jumperoo.

OH NO! It's a baby zombie eating brains! What's that? They're just cherries? Oh, carry on then.
